The elected and professional leadership in the communities of Lincoln County had a concern for the shortage of certified water and wastewater system operators. To address this situation, a partnership was formed between the eight cities and towns of Lincoln County and state agencies supporting community-driven regionalization. This inter agency effort is called Sync and led by the Public Works Board (Board) and the departments of Commerce, Health, and Ecology. The Board financed the Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC) to facilitate three regionalization meetings led by Olga Morales with the support of Margie Hall, Executive Director of the Lincoln County Economic Development Council. The attached presentation describes this effort and touches on key community outcomes for sharing resources and asset mapping. Heather Cannon of RCAC in Washington continues to work with the communities of Lincoln County on regionalization and asset management efforts.
